Chariots of Fire is a small, nationally recognised centre, based in a rural community in southern Scotland, offering riding and driving activities along with horse livery and training.
Established by the late Amanda Saville 20 years ago, Chariots is now a Community Interest Company. Our award winning team includes national champion drivers so you can be sure of top class tuition. We have stabling and grazing for over 40 horses and ponies, an indoor arena and outdoor menage, along with miles of wonderful lanes and forest tracks in the Scottish Borders to improve fitness. We offer training to the highest standard in both riding and carriage driving.
The Centre specialises in working with young people and those with disabilities or additional needs. We have been successful in introducing youngsters from 3 years upwards to equine activities. People with special needs can also benefit enormously from contact with ponies. Carriage driving is an activity where even those with severe physical disability can take part – we have the appropriate carriages and equipment to enable this.
